4dayz privacy
Privacy Policy
This policy explains what is removed from public view after 96 hours, what may remain on the server, and how 4dayz processes information to operate the service securely.
Effective date: 2026-07-10
1. Information We Process
4dayz may process posts, tags, public keys, signatures, request nonces, transmission times, IP-based security logs, and the minimum metadata needed for service operation.
2. Browser Keys and Local Storage
Private keys and passwords are managed in your browser. Saved keys may be encrypted with a password and stored locally, and the server cannot recover private keys or passwords.
3. Posts and Public Feed
Anyone can read posts while they appear in the public feed. Each post remains in the public feed for up to 96 hours and may be removed earlier by its author. Leaving the public feed is not the same as server deletion. An archived copy including content, tags, public keys, signatures, and related IP security logs may be retained for up to three months from archiving for operations, security, legal response, or failure recovery.
4. Encrypted DM
Encrypted DM bodies are designed so the server cannot directly read them. Metadata such as conversation information, participant public keys, ciphertext, key envelopes, signatures, and send times may be stored to provide the service.
5. Purposes of Use
Processed information is used to create and display posts, verify deletion permissions, deliver DMs, prevent abuse, apply rate limits, perform security audits, analyze failures, and comply with legal obligations.
6. Retention and Deletion
Archived content, public keys, signatures, and related IP logs are scheduled for deletion three months after archiving. Other security logs and operational metadata, including identity-registration records, may be retained for as long as required for service operation, security, or legal obligations and are not covered by the archive's three-month schedule. Removal from the public feed does not mean immediate or permanent deletion from every system.
7. Third-Party Sharing
4dayz does not arbitrarily sell or share user information except where required by law, security incident response, or service infrastructure operation.
8. Contact
Questions about privacy processing may be submitted through the contact channels announced by the service operator.
